On Tuesday, April 23, 2002 the Mitchell Girl Guides & Sparks gathered to plant a wheelbarrow full of Iris Tubers along the trail. The Plants were generously donated by Nora Rocher (Communities in Bloom member).
After being equipped with work gloves the anxious group set out to do their planting.
Most of the planting took place in the grove area below Henry Street and behind Willow Lane. When you are out hiking the trail watch for the handy work of these young gardeners.
